Training Suspended Until Further Notice


Scottish Swimming has advised all clubs to suspend all aquatic activities until further notice. (See link below for full statement.)  
Under this guidance and that from our government we are suspending all training sessions and club activities with immediate effect until further notice.     Please refer to the E mail sent from Scotia ASC for more details.

Training Location Changes


Please note the following change to Sharks & A squad training.

Sunday morning training will be moving permanently to Tollcross Int. Swimming Centre (09:00 – 11:00). 

Due to competitions at Tollcross there are some weekends in which we cannot gain access to the Long Course pool. These sessions will be held at Kirkintilloch Leisure Centre during our usual time slot of (08:30 – 10:30).

The dates of the sessions will be communicated out to the group via email and uploaded to the competition calendar for future reference. 

Christmas Holiday Training Times

Last session on Friday 20th Dec. No training from Sunday 22nd Dec – Thursday 2nd Jan (inclusive). Training returning to normal schedule on Friday 3rd Jan.

As normal until Friday 20th Dec (inclusive), no training on Sunday 22nd due to the SAST Open Meet, Altered training programme at the Leisuredrome on Friday 27th (9-11am), Saturday 28th, (9-11am), Sunday 29th (9-11am), Monday 30th Dec (9-11am). Returning to normal schedule Thursday 3rd Jan.

Trial for New Members


Are you aged between 6 – 11 years old and nearing the end of EDC swimming lessons or similar?

We are holding a trial for children who are interested in progressing into competitive swimming:

Fundraising update


The money for the new starting blocks has nearly been raised – well done everyone!  

Scottish School’s Time Trials


Some of our swimmers recently enjoyed taking part in the Scottish School’s Swimming Trials and many of their family members volunteered to help at this event.  We have received the following message:

“A massive ‘THANK YOU’ to you all from Swimming Development, we could not
run this swim meet without your help which is very much appreciated.  Look forward to seeing you all next year!!”

Feedback: Scotia ASC 1st Annual Mini Meet


Everyone who took part in, and helped to run Scotia’s first Annual Mini Meet deserves a huge thank you for making it such a successful event.  Feedback from participants, volunteers and spectators has been very positive, with many commenting on the friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Scottish SwimmingSS Connect: School Leavers, preparing for Further Education 📝

Scottish Swimming will be running an information session for all members who may be thinking of moving from school to university at some point in the next two years. The session will be led by Performance Lifestyle (PL) advisors from the sportscotland Institute of Sport and will cover the following:

• Update on the higher education landscape as it currently stands, with details on where Universities are with regards to current offers etc
• Advice on planning regarding University and leaving school for both this year and beyond; what are your next steps?
• Stories from athletes who made the move this year
• An opportunity to ask questions of these athletes and also the PL Advisors

This session will be delivered virtually on Sunday 28th February at 10:30am.
