A fantastic well done to all the awesome mini league swimmers, coaches, helpers, parents and supporters who all travelled to Ayr on Saturday. The official swimmers results will be available in the next couple of days and as soon as they are available they will be posted on the website.
A very big CONGRATULATIONS to Ruairi McKinnon, Graham Baird and Saul Callan who have all been invited to the Scottish Summer Meet which is being held at Aberdeen in July this year. This is a fantastic achievement and opportunity for all 3 boys, more information about this event can be found here on the SwimScotland website.
Just to let you know that the t-shirts that were recently ordered are now available. Joyce Watchorn will have them at the Leisuredrome tonight either in the cafe or upstairs in the gallery, it would be great if everyone attending either the mini league final tomorrow or the swim meet at Cumbernauld this weekend was wearing their club t-shirts. Unfortunately there is a 2 week delay with the shorts but we will let you know as soon as they are available.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Parents’ Evening last night. As you all know we really need help from as many parents as possible with the running of the club and ALL help that we get is greatly appreciated.
To make events accredited (both in-house and at competitions) they must have all the necessary officials from timekeepers to referees. We are planning to run an in-house timekeepers course where you will be told the duties of a timekeeper, get shown how to record swimmers’ times, how to average and what to look for prior to pressing the start and stop button. The course lasts a couple of hours and will run on a normal swimming training night. Once complete you will be registered with SASA and be allowed to participate at competitions. Keith Watchorn is organising a timekeepers course so if you are interested please let him know or alternatively email email@example.com.
When we attend competitions we need parents to help our coaches poolside with organising the swimmers and making sure they are ready for their swims, with this help it means the coaches can concentrate on getting the best out of all the swimmers. We are looking for a number of keen and enthusiastic volunteers to help create a fundraising team. Fundraising is an essential part of any club to ensure enough funds are raised to promote growth, provide resources and equipment and to help finance club extra activities. This has been one of our best years for swimmers achieving a Gold, Silver or Bronze standard and we’d like to take the time to recognise their achievements. There will be no training for Dolphins, Swordfish, Sharks or A-squad that evening to allow all swimmers to come along and celebrate. (Junior Dolphins will be on as usual).
