Unfortunately this event scheduled for Saturday 22nd October has been cancelled by M&B, please see the following note received from them:
I am very sorry to have to cancel our swim meet on the 22nd October. We have had too few entries to make the meet viable.
Thank you for entering the meet. I think we have suffered from there being another meet on that weekend and it being the school holiday week in Glasgow. Please accept my apologies and pass my apologies to your swimmers.
Kind Regards Guy Fletcher
Note from Scotia Meet Secretary:
Please speak to or email Lynn regarding refunds or transferring fees paid to credit for the next meet at Cumbernauld in December.
As a club, our green caps are in a lot more competitions, finals and ever present in good numbers at the west districts.
Things are looking great in the pool however our officials i.e. timekeepers are not as visible.
We are putting in a new order for white t-shirts. It will be a polo shirt but in the modern cool fabric rather than cotton.
Joyce Watchorn is organising this on behalf of the committee so please contact her directly or give your details to Grace at the Swim Shop on Monday nights so that we can put an order in as soon as possible.
The closing date for this competition has been extended to the end of September so you still have time to snap a picture of your cap and send it to our website at email@example.com, remember the prize is a hooded sweatshirt with your name on the back. For more information please look here.
Due to the high number of swimmers from both A-Squad and Sharks attending the West Districts at this weekend it has been decided to cancel Sunday morning training at Kirkintilloch this weekend. All other training is as normal.
Eight of our Masters swimmers comprising of Craig Drummond, Connor Macqueen, Andrew and Lindsay Hunter, Lynn Campbell, Laura Shields, Keith Watchorn and Mark McKinney have completed their amazing achievement of a 12 hour overnight relay swim in what (I’ve heard) was a warm and salty Gourock Outdoor Swimming Pool to raise funds for our club. If you haven’t done so already, or even feel like doing so again, please donate whatever you can either to https://www.givey.com/scotia12hour, at the Scotia desk on Monday evening or simply by handing your donation to any of our committee members to show them just how amazing we think they are!
