Fundraising

Scotia ASC is a not-for-profit charity that primarily relies on the hard work of dedicated volunteers. Operating a swimming club is not cheap. The hire of the pool is a considerable cost per month and members swim fees only really cover this cost.

If we are going to grow and improve the club we need more income. There are several ways of financially helping the club and many of them won't cost you anything.

EasyFundraising

Everytime you shop online you could be raising money for Scotia ASC. A huge number of brands are signed up to Easyfundraising and will contribute a percentage of what you spend to the club. This could be electricals, travel, insurance or your weekly shop.

Its really easy and free. Go to www.easyfundraising.org.uk and find the "Sign Up" button. Search for Scotia Amateur Swimming Club and complete the registration process. You can also activate a donation reminder on your device that prompts you everytime you visit a participating site.

There is even an App that shows you how much you have donated and a Scotia leaderboard.

Gift Aid

Scotia ASC is a charity and can therefore receive 25p for every £1 donated to the club, including your membership fee. This requires you to have completed a Gift Aid Form. Most of you have done this - but there are still a significant number who haven't. If you are unsure - please email [email protected].

Sponsorship

We can offer businesses the opportunity to raise their profile within the community through a number of attractive sponsorship packages. These would include

  • Website - Have your business name and Logo on our Home Page for everyone to see when they visit www.scotiaasc.co.uk. 
  • SNAGs & Nationals Kit - Each year a number of Scotia ASC swimmers qualify for the televised national competition (SNAGs) and Scotia ASC also competes in a national team competition. Have your businesses name and logo on our kit.​
  • Club Competition - Each year the club hosts its in-house compeitition. This is always a very well attended event. Have your business name and logo on our programme and website as well as other publicity opportunities that go with the event
